Tell us about your professional background
I started my career in public relations before moving into sales and partnerships, and I’ve worked in corporate environments throughout my career. I spent five years at Houzz working with national home product manufacturing brands on advertising, while also partnering closely with contractors, architects, and designers. I’ve since worked in enterprise sales, managing multi-million dollar deals with major brands like TikTok and The Walt Disney Company.
Getting back into the building and remodeling industry was always a long-term goal of mine, which led me to where I am today. I now work alongside my business partner, Andy, supporting his construction company while also serving as a co-owner of Walk Your Plans OC, where I focus on operations, growth, partnerships, and bringing the service to market.
Why did you decide to bring Walk Your Plans to your market?
2.
Getting back into the building and remodeling industry was always a long-term goal of mine, and after leaving corporate, I had the opportunity to work with my business partner, Andy, on his construction company. Shortly after, he introduced me to the idea of Walk Your Plans, and I wasn’t initially sold.
That changed during a job site walkthrough for a home addition, where we spent hours drawing layouts in the dirt with sticks and measuring tapes to figure out the space. It made me realize how valuable it would be to experience plans at full scale before building. We flew out to Cleveland the following week to see it in action, and from there, the decision to bring it to our market was easy.
Orange County also felt like the right place to introduce it. It’s not only a market where people have the budget to build and remodel, but one that expects a higher-end experience throughout the process. Beyond saving time, reducing costly changes, and bringing clarity to plans, we saw Walk Your Plans as a way to elevate the entire experience and introduce something more premium to the building and remodeling process.
What has surprised you most about the business so far?
3.
What’s surprised me most is how quickly people “get it” once they experience it. Before a walkthrough, it can feel like a nice-to-have, but the moment someone steps into their plans at full scale, the value becomes obvious. Decisions that would normally take weeks get made in minutes, and issues surface that no one caught on paper.
I’ve also been surprised by how consistently it changes the dynamic between everyone involved. Instead of back-and-forth or misalignment, you get real-time conversations with all stakeholders in the room, which leads to better decisions and a much smoother path into construction.
What’s one thing unique about your local market?
4.
One thing that’s unique about our local market is the expectation for a highly elevated experience across the board. In Orange County, it’s not just about getting a project done, it’s about how it’s done. Clients care deeply about design, detail, and the overall experience, and they’re willing to invest in getting it right.
That creates a really strong fit for something like Walk Your Plans, because it doesn’t just add efficiency. It elevates the process, helps clients feel more confident in their decisions, and brings a level of clarity and experience that matches the expectations of the market.
